Megan, I was showing your website to a new vegan friend and we were wondering how to receive alerts when you post a new recipe.

    Hi!

I’m wondering about your beautiful photography! Do you mind sharing what gear you use?

    Thanks :)

Hi Casey! Thank you :) I use a Cannon EOS Digital Rebel XS. I’ve started using a macro lens and occasionally with an extension tube for the super close ups. I also use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom software for editing. I’m definitely still learning a lot and experimenting! My husband also recently built me a light box to use for photographing plated food. That has made a huge difference when I can’t photograph in natural light.

Hi Megan, how are you? I heard about your blog/site some time ago through Benay from Candle 79. I went to the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC to become a vegan chef, did my internship at Candle Cafe and tested the recipes for Candle 79′s cookbook. I don’t think we ever met during the time I spent at Candle Cafe/Candle 79 in 2010/2011.

Anyways, just wanted to write you a quick message telling you how amazing your site is, all the recipes and specially the pictures. It’s definitely a benchmark to me. I subscribe to your newsletter and I’m always excited to see your new creations.

I recently moved to Paris to be the Chef at a new Vegan Restaurant called Gentle Gourmet Cafe and I’m always inspired by your food. Hope to be able to put some of this inspiration in practice here.

I also want to create my website or blog and wanted to ask you who did that for you. I used to work as a graphic designer, but never did web, just printed stuff. Was wondering if you could give me some tips.

Anyways, hope to keep in touch and congratulations on your amazing work

    Best regards,
    Daniel

Thanks so much for your message Daniel! I’m so glad you got in touch! Even though I responded to you on FB I thought I’d just reiterate how much I appreciate you taking the time to let me know your thoughts on my site and recipes :) Looking forward to seeing your site when it’s up and running. Let me know how wordpress works out for you and if you have any questions about it.
